A Poem to Begin Ordinary Time

Ordinary Time is now here;

Although it may appear

as if it has no import.

And time till Lent is short

Believe you me

It is no time to be carefree

It is during times so ordinary

That we should be wary.

Buckle up, and strap down

So as to earn the thorned crown.
